Why can’t I open my gallery on my Android?

Touch the Apps or Application manager option and then tap all. Select the Gallery or photos app, then the Storage option. Tap Clear cache . Try again to start the photos app.

You should do a full reboot, and if it doesn’t work, you can try this: Settings > Application Manager > All > Photo Gallery > Force Close > Clear Data. Here is a replacement app for the gallery in the mean time.

You may want to then back up the images to a cloud account or a computer (via USB cord) and then clear out the data and cache (settings, apps, all) of the gallery, then restart the phone.
